PRODUCT PACKAGE:
You will receive from us a sundial calculated for the requested location. We will research the geographic co-ordinates required for the calculation from your address details. The instructions, which are extensive and well-illustrated, will enable you to set up and adjust the sundial yourself. Tools and attachments are included.
We also offer an installation service: delivery, installation and adjustment of the sundial. If you relocate, we can produce and deliver a new global screen for the new location.
he sundial is carefully constructed from high quality materials: the display screen is made of non-breakable, all-weather acrylic glass, all other components consist of stainless steel. All parts are guaranteed for 10 years.
The sundial consists of the following individual parts:
Global screen:
You will receive two screens with time and data scale:
- Winter-spring screen
(ascending sun from December 21 to June 21) - Summer-autumn screen
(descending sun from June 21 to December 21)
The screens can be easily replaced with little effort.
Time ring:
The time ring is equipped with an hour and minute scale and allocates the time to the time lines on the global screen.
Two versions of the time ring are also included:
- Winter time ring (CET or GMT)
- Summer time ring (CET or BST)
The time rings are replaced at the relevant dates of change-over from winter to summer time and vice versa.
Head:
The head holds the concave mirror for the projection of sunlight onto the global screen (luminous point). It also includes the elements used for the horizontal set-up and time adjustment.
Base and stand:
The base is firmly secured at the desired location and the stand is screwed on.
We offer the optimal securing technique for any installation location:
- A central heavy-duty rawl-plug for concrete flooring (balcony or patio)
- oor: three universal rawl-plugs for less dense flooring
- or: a stabilising anchor to be screwed into the earth
